Welcome to the Official Blog of the Hipster Union, a fictional union devoted to securing rights and fomenting acceptance of Gen-X’ers, yuppies, and the disaffected masses of the Boston-Atlanta megalopolis. The Hipster Union has its HQ (headquarters is way too formal) here in Brooklyn, the birthplace of ironic cool.

Don’t be ashamed of your urban detachment. It’s a well-known fact that everyone who lives west of the GWB and east of US 101 is an idiot. Of course, there are exceptions for Austin, Chicago, and Boulder and their ilk – but not Phoenix. Protest all you want. Phoenix is dead to me.
